NOSTALGIA is one-of-a-kind in Aotearoa. Nestled in the Heathcote Valley, in the Garden City, the one-day festival brings together an array of artists.

One thing that sets NOSTALGIA apart from your bigger festivals is its clearly defined ethos; of community, sustainability, collaboration, creativity, and heritage.

“NOSTALGIA’s values are simple: we strive to create a unique festival that integrates the Christchurch community through celebrating collaboration, creativity, event sustainability and quality music.”

Over the years, I’ve heard that NOSTALGIA is one of the best festivals in this little nation. Attending for the first time in 2021, I was intrigued to know why it has such a positive rep. “[NOSTALGIA is] an entirely unique food, music, and culture festival held within the 1900s replica township of Ferrymead Heritage Park in Heathcote Valley, Christchurch. NOSTALGIA unites the community and visitors through the magic of music, showcasing a curated selection of feel-good New Zealand artists alongside a much-anticipated offering of top local cuisine, craft drinks, and colourful characters.”

“Festival-goers wind through the vintage festival streets to discover incredible entertainment and street performance, eclectic market stalls and much more. With a focus on sustainability, the festival’s laid-back all ages environment is the perfect place to transcend normality, connect with friends and create truly memorable experiences.”

With already such an exceptional reputation, festival-goers can expect a special iteration in 2021.

“This year, we have an emphasis on food! We have carefully curated an amazing selection of local foodies that will be serving up delicious eats throughout the day. Black Burger, Bar Yoku and Raman Ria are just a small taste of what is instore at NOSTALGIA!”

Taking to the three stages this year are some of the best of New Zealand music. Local songstress and Kiwi icon, Bic Runga is back in her hometown to serenade attendees. Alongside Bic is Aotearoa Music Award winners The Beths, and supergroup LEISURE – among many other fantastic artists. A couple of Yo Vocal’s favourites will also be playing some sweet tunes: There’s a Tuesday and Two Minds.

NOSTALGIA takes place on Saturday 13 February and Yo Vocal will be there to take in the day – we can’t wait to see you too! Look out for our team jumpsuits and have a chat.
