If your week has been a bit uneventful, prepare to get excited because hot off the press is an announcement that Nic & Reuben are going on tour.

We had a quick-fire interview with the pair to figure out what was in store.

Hitting the road on August 20th, Nic & Reuben are setting off on their ‘Hi-Fives’ tour, stopping off at five hot spots around the country, no doubt one will be close to you.

For the pair, it feels like the right time to say hello. “It’s been a long time, and we kind of owe to the lovely people for giving us Spotify money. Thanks, guys.” You can expect plenty of fresh tunes, with attention paid to those songs we know and love.

When questioned as to where the name for the tour, Hi-Fives, came from, the guys had this to say. It represents the five band members who will be bouncing around the stage. Touching down in Ōtautahi, Ōtepoti, Tāmaki Makaurau, Pōneke, Whāingaroa, the band has fond memories of some of the tour spots.

“Wellington is always very fun. Auckland has been fun in the past, and we really like it. We had a great time in Christchurch once, and it was the best. Dunedin is great, and we’ve played there before. We’ve never been to Raglan before, so that will probably be pretty fun.”

Keeping cards close to their chest and us on our toes, the boys aren’t revealing their opening acts -- you kids will just have to wait and see.

This is set to be an energy-filled, boogie inducing tour. We’ll be there. Be sure to grab yourself a ticket.
