Yo Vocal Issue three

In 88 pages of beautiful content, over 30 people have contributed or are featured within this issue, and 20% of the profits will be donated to our chosen charity, Forest & Bird. There’s art, photography, journalism, and a heap of epic people all in one magazine.

This time round, we have included a A3 pull-out poster. Double-sided ,it features art from Crosby Allen-Jennings and photography by Java Katzur.

Issue Three’s theme is Our Stories; we talk to people from different religions, to young musicians that are changing the NZ music scene, and to board shapers amped on their craft. We also tackled the harder topics like abortion, sexual assault, and eating disorders. 

Liam Stretch talks to Lizzie and Luke; two brave, young firefighters, who headed across the ditch to help fight the blaze in the summer of 2019 when the wildfires of Australia burned.

Alex Hallifax chats to people from four different faiths to take a deeper look into what they believe in and why: Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. They discuss the significance of their beliefs and the journey that it has taken them on.

For our musical segment, Hannah Powell talks to BENEE and Miss June about why they love what they do and how it all came about.
